Cadet Records and Administration Application

This is a Microsoft Access application. You will either need the full version of MS Access or you can download the runtime from the Microsoft Web Site. This application is a database that allow you store all of the cadet and staff training records. Many reports can then be created from this data.  The system is completely tailorable for your Unit (e.g. unit name, divisions etc)

The system is password protected. Details on how to set up the user accounts are provided with the download.

It is possible to store all cadet record data that would normally be written on a P10. The system will also compute the number of points that each cadet has. The cadet record screen is shown here:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All staff details can also be stored including details of all courses attended:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Many reports can be created from the database. It also allows the automatic creation of T1s, joining instructions etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

One of the most useful reports is the points chart. This can be printed out removing the need for time consuming manual maintenance of the paper version.

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is an attendance register module for both cadets and staff. You can produce attendance summaries and graphs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is a camp / event planning module 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is a cadet training progress module that allows you to track progress for each cadet at each level of their training 

 

 

 

 

 

 

T.S Brighton and a number of other Units have been using this system for a number of years with no data loss. However, this does not replace the need for P10's (or Westminster) which should always be maintained as well.

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

I strongly recommend that you do use the default location of c:\scc_db for the database files. If you want to move the files to a different directory read the supplied text file.
